Pee Wee Picasso - Celebrating The Creative Spirit of the
3-5 Year Old
|
The Pee Wee Picasso Program meets Mondays, Wednesdays
and Fridays from 9:45 until noon during the traditional
school year. This unique program has been designed to
encourage the young artists (ages 3-5) to embrace their
creative and dramatic selves.
Here at the Art Center, we believe that learning should
be fun. We are here to promote original thinking while
encouraging artistic expression.
|

|
| The
Pee Wee Picasso program embraces the following subjects: |
| Visual
Arts: |
This
includes painting, sketching, sculpting, collaging and
adventurous mixed media. A complete immersion into the
wonderful world of "creating beautiful images". |
| Musical
Arts: |
Students
will create their own percussion instruments, explore
rhythm, singing, marching bands and experiment with a
number of musical tools and instruments. A professional
guitarist joins us regularly for even more musical enjoyment. |
| Performing
Arts: |
Students
will enjoy fantasy games which include inventing characters,
songs and creating various scenarios using creative props.
The young artist will also create their own puppets and
produce shows, and learn to express themselves through
interactive drama. |
| Botanical

All
the children will enjoy the process of growing their own
garden. They will plant seeds for both flowers and vegetables
and learn to care and nurture their very own little gardens.
Flowers will be pressed and used for art and vegetables
will be eaten at snack - Yummy!! |

We firmly believe that being creative is not a talent confined
to just one of the arts. Neither is it an elite talent, but
something that everyone exercises to one degree or another.
Because of our 1:5 teacher/student ratio, questions and curiosity
from our budding artists are always encouraged.
Our next program commences on September 3, 2008. This program
has limited space and requires early registration. Tuition
for the 2008-2009 school year is $285/month. There is an annual
non-refundable material fee of $100.
|
For
the safety of your child all staff members have been
fingerprinted with a complete background check. Since
we are an art and music school, the Children's Createve
Art Center is licensed as an Art Center.
